2008 Memory Walk
We will walk in memory of Marcella and honor all those who have suffered or are
suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease.
ProCare wants to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and
research. We are calling on volunteers from the Cumberland, MD community to join
us to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer’s. By teaming up with
ProCare and the Alzheimer’s Association, you can walk or help raise funds with a
purpose and move us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s. Together, we can MOVE
a nation.
About Alzheimer’s Disease
Alzheimer’s is a disease that destroys brain cells and causes problems with
thinking, language and behavior. It is progressive and is now the 6th – leading
cause of death in the United States. There is no known cure but promising
treatments are on the horizon…that is why we need your help.
Every 71 seconds, someone is diagnoses with Alzheimer’s disease. TEAM UP with
ProCare and the Alzheimer’s Association to help us fight it.
This year, more than 200,000 people across the nation will be on the MOVE. Our
destination is a world without Alzheimer’s.
